The Triple X was a milestone in 2007. It was built for Björn Gericke, son of the creator Hein Gericke, who also likes to ride the Power Pack himself on the race track. The beast is not just a show bike, no, it is also really fast. At that time, one or two GSX-R riders had already cut their teeth on it.
With a stable 171 hp, the 1050 triple still faithfully performs its duties today, it is 40 hp more powerful than the series at that time. The dry weight was 171 kg, the TripleX weighed only 187 kg when fully assembled.

The nice thing about the bike is that we had calculated with about 30hp more. At some point you go to your dyno, usually late in the evening, run the engine for a while and adjust the ECU mapping. Then comes the moment of truth, you turn the throttle to full and press record. Oops, over 40 hp more, 171 hp for a Speed Triple 1050. That was quite something, I don't know if anyone has ever managed that again.
