Performance diagram: BMW R80 and R100 compared to our SE 1070cc Sport Kit + H-conrods + dual ignition + sports camshaft + flat slide carburettor (Stage 4)
The diagram shows the power and torque of a fully standard BMW R80 and a fully standard BMW R100. The performance curves of a 2-valve engine that has been upgraded with our SE 1070cc Sport Kit with short pistons and H-profil concods, converted to dual ignition with the SE ignition system, fitted with an SE Sport camshaft and, as the icing on the cake, fitted with flat slide carburettors are also shown.
The Stage 4 conversion is a perfect combination of strong torque, plenty of power and an addictive revving pleasure.
After engaging the clutch, you'll be pulling with a good 75 Nm. From 3,500 rpm it really gets going and increases continuously up to the peak of a good 84 hp and 95 Nm. Between 3,500-5,500 rpm, you move confidently along the country road on a wave of power and torque. The engine has an easy time with the 170kg and clearly puts many bikes that are stronger on paper in the shade thanks to its performance character.
