The Sport-Evolution individual dyno tuning includes:
- an input measurement to determine the basic power of the motorcycle
- a complete basic tuning of the motorcycle and creation of a map
- a final measurement in comparison to the basic measurement
- corresponding printouts of the performance diagrams
- suitable for the older Triumph 2-cylinder models
No additional module required. Direct access to the original ECU via TUNE ECU
The control unit of the injection system is re-recorded using the TUNE ECU software. This program allows access to the injection computers of many European motorcycle brands in the Windows version. We use this for our test bench mappings for the older Triumph 2-cylinder models.
The advantage of direct access to the original ECU is that no additional components have to be installed. This reduces the overall costs in this case, because the TUNE ECU software is freeware. In addition, it is not apparent from the outside that anything has been changed. As a rule, the possibilities of what can be changed are also greater. Additional devices like exhaust flaps, lambda probe, secondary air system, etc. can usually be deactivated.
The disadvantage: To get back to the original state, the ECU has to be reprogrammed (reset) again.
In our dyno tuning (mapping), an individual map is always written for each motorcycle. The mixture composition is measured by means of a lambda probe in the exhaust and corrected to the optimum values. This is usually done every 250 rpm, as well as at the various throttle positions 2, 5, 10, 20, 40, 60, 80 and 100%. The power gain is usually 5-15 hp in the top-end power and up to 20 hp in the lower and middle throttle and rpm ranges, depending on how well or poorly the original map was designed.
