Lithium Ionen Batterie HJP14-FP
Lithium-ion batteries, high-tech for your motorcycle, fit for all SE battery boxes.
Replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a lithium-ion battery can save up to 8 kg in weight without significant effort.
Replacing a standard lead-acid battery with a lithium-ion battery can save up to 8 kg in weight without significant effort.
The battery is equipped with one or more spacers, so that the battery fits exactly in the SE battery boxes.
The following advantages speak for JMT lithium-ion batteries:
- approx. 1/3 of the weight of the comparable lead-acid battery
- can be installed in any position as it does not contain acid
- Fast charging with high charging current possible (up to 90% in 6 min)
- very low self-discharge (max. 5% per month)
- good performance up to 60°C even at high temperatures
- safe technology and long service life
We use a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 4Ah in all our conversions with consistently very good experience. The lithium-ion batteries are able to use almost 100% of their capacity, while the lead-acid batteries, due to the specific characteristics, only 30%. Consequently, the Ah value cannot be compared 1 to 1.
For vehicles with higher compression, extensive electrical equipment or vehicles that are often used in the cold season, we recommend the use of 5 Ah or 6 Ah LI batteries. The cold is also still a condition in which the lithium-ion batteries lose power. If a bike is standing in a cold garage during the winter, you will feel loss of power during starter operation. If a motorcycle stands in the warm, even with long breaks in operation, the engines start as if the battery had been charged shortly before. In general, battery fresheners or chargers with low charging currents are still a good measure during longer breaks.
We install the lithium-ion batteries, without any further modifications, in the old bikes, i.e. also in all our BMW Boxer 2-valve models. The prerequisite is, of course, that the charging system is in order. What the LI batteries do not tolerate at all are too high charging currents above 14.5 volts. Such high voltages can occur with a defect of the charge controller or by charging with unsuitable chargers that work with fast charging or pulse currents.
Under no circumstances should chargers be used which attempt to desulphate deeply discharged batteries below 10 volts with a voltage of more than 14. 9 volts before they begin to charge. The maximum charging voltage of 14. 9 volts must not be exceeded under any circumstances. There is a risk of explosion.
technique
- 12 V maintenance-free lithium ion battery
- Charge current recommended 2. 5 A
- maximum charging current for fast charging 24 A
Dimensions (HxWxL): 104x87x150
