BMW R100 engine part overhaul incl. unleaded rebuild and parts package

The BMW motorbike engine overhaul listed here is a partial overhaul of the BMW two-valve engine. The cylinders, cylinder heads and connecting rods are dismantled and checked. The condition of the connecting rod bearings allows conclusions to be drawn about the other innards of the BMW engine. This does not guarantee that the engine is in good condition, but it has proven to be a reliable measure for assessing the engine's condition.

The cylinder heads and the cylinders are blasted with ceramic balls. This gives a velvety surface that looks very classy and is easy to clean. When blasting with ceramic balls, the surface is compacted and there are no open pores as with glass blasting. Glass-blasted surfaces are difficult to clean, as dirt inevitably settles in the pores.   
The cylinder heads are completely overhauled and converted to lead-free operation in the same way as the large engine revison package. The valve guides we use are fitted with stem seals. This reduces oil consumption and raises the wear limit. This means longer running times and lower costs. This technology is state of the art nowadays and is used in every engine. For the BMW two-valve engines, we are the only ones to use this technique, which can definitely be called a normal standard.

The cylinders and the pistons are measured and checked. The cylinders are honed and reassembled with new piston rings. The connecting rod bearings are re-determined and then reassembled with the connecting rods and new connecting rod bolts.

The price applies to the delivery of a dismantled engine. You are also welcome to deliver your complete motorbike. Depending on the equipment, however, costs may still be incurred for the dismantling of exhaust, carburettors or fairing.
