As an upgrade to the SE tubular handlebar in 22mm diameter, you can opt for the butted version with 28.6mm clamping for an additional charge.

Identical in terms of the other dimensions, the diameter tapers to 22mm towards the grip area and therefore appears somewhat "bulkier"

... like so many things, it's ultimately a question of personal taste
